We've had a fun few months. Everything is going great - I feel so blessed for everything right now because I am truly so lucky. I have a wonderful husband who has worked so hard to get everything back on track after the start of this year and who I am really beginning to fall so deeply in love with again after a tough year and the most beautiful girls in the world who make me smile so much every day. They are truly little princesses.

Of course I think my kids are the prettiest, smartest, most charming kids in the world. I'm their Mom, I have to. Disagree with me and I'll want to punch you in the face. It's a Mom thing.

Dakota is 3. She had a great birthday and is getting smarter every day. Of course she the smartest kid ever for her age. I would think that. But really, she's pretty smart. She's still wild and most definitely keeps me on my toes. She loves "exploring" and basically destroying everything in sight. Such a free spirit, LOL.

Pretty little Amelia is 18 months. She is the sweetest, kindest little one around. She idolizes her big sister, which is NEVER going to end well. But, it's cute for now. She's getting more confident at talking in English and Polish and is starting to try and form some sentences. Her antics make me laugh every day.

I'm ok, tired and working away - very excited for a trip home to Canada next month which I will be sure to try and update on the blog, so watch out for it.

I haven't blogged in FAR too long, but, we are moving to our own place tomorrow! TOMORROW.

2 years we've been in this house, it's so bittersweet, so many memories, but we're very excited to get our own place and begin the next chapter. When I started this blog I was a lonely girl which no idea about Polish culture, but being here has helped me grow so much as a person. I've had my 2nd daughter, and watched both of them bloom into beautiful (but sassy!) toddlers, and learnt to love Poland for the beautiful country which it is.

Hopefully if I get a chance I will be back blogging soon - I do miss the blogosphere!

I haven't really blogged anything much about this, but Daniel & I have been having serious problems for a few months. Really, since last September. 6 months of SERIOUS problems. I honestly feel like he became a different person, he told me he hated me, I had ruined his life, among other things.

I honestly thought that was it. I didn't know what else to do. But I always hoped, I always kept hoping this isn't the real Daniel I know, this isn't the man of my dreams who will do anything for me & has always loved me and always will, this is something completely different. I prayed to God daily that somehow, some way, he would help to open Daniel's eyes and see that I was only trying to help him, I loved him & wanted to be with him as much as I did the day when he asked me to marry him.

God does answer prayer - last week Daniel asked to speak to me in private, his parents went out of the house and he sat me down and apologized to me for everything he has put me through in the past few months. I'm still skeptical, about how quickly he has changed. I'm not convinced he's better, but he knows himself he has been depressed and is going to go for conselling and medication, if necessary.

I just want to get my family back together now & be able to put this all behind us.

We've been waiting for it a long time, but as everything else has started to pick up from a depressive phase (more coming on that later), so finally has the weather.

It's a welcome improvement because I was most definitely DONE with the worst Polish winter for 30 years. It was horrible. I am from a super snowy/cold area of Canada, but even I found it tough going this winter. I think with kids the weather makes such a difference, the girls are loving finally being able to get out and play at the park and stuff. Let off some energy so they can nap when they get home!

To celebrate the weather, I recently took some pics of the girls out on a walk. I thought they turned out pretty well, they definitely are 2 characters!

I am still breastfeeding Amelia and it is something so important & precious to me. I stopped with Dakota at around 9 months and have always regretted it - this time I hope to keep on going until Mia is around 2, or until she decides enough is enough and self-weans herself.

The bond we have whilst breastfeeding is something so amazing - I never imagined it would help us have such a great bond, for me to know that I am helping her grow, I am the reason for her getting so big & beautiful, for being such a healthy little princess.

Of course, it has its practical benefits too. The fact I have never had to worry about getting milk to the right temperature: heating and cooling and testing to make sure, my body produces it just right for little Mia. Also, it's there in demand, I've never had to panic that I don't have enough for her, or lug about too much on a day out! Also, the $$$ issue. My breastmilk is FREE, it's the best bargain I've ever got!

It has its difficulties too. As I am working more these days, sometimes I have to pump for Mia, but not often. I am very lucky my shifts at work are usually only 2-3 hours at a time, so I can nurse before I leave and when I come home. At the start it was difficult, it does hurt and I thought, my nipples are never going to make it. But now, completely fine. I thought once she started getting teeth she would start biting on me, but so far, nothing. She knows not to hurt her Mommy!

Update on Amelia!

My little baby is getting so big - I can't believe the last time I was posting on this blog, she was just a little newborn, and here she is now, only 2 months away from 1!

She is such a laid-back baby, nothing phases her, she just sits and watches her crazy big sister running crazily around and the house and giggles and smiles! When Dakota attacks her, she stands her ground but never lets it get to her. She's such a good baby, I have been so blessed with her.

Mia is a big girl for her age too! I've got 2 big girls on my hands. She is 23lbs and 29inches tall at 10 months, she's a big girl. Not JUST as tall as Dakota was at this age, but still a tall girl none-the-less.

She looks like her big sister a lot I think, especially when Dakota was younger - but Dakota is definitely more me and Amelia is definitely more Daniel. She has blonde hair too - it's adorable, I love my little blonde haired baby! I have a brunette and a blondie, no doubt there will be more than a few wars about which is best in the years to come!

Talking is coming slowly but surely - she's still just babbling a lot of the time, but she can say MAMA, DADA & KO-AH (Kota). Like Dakota, we're speaking both Polish and English to her so she will hopefully pick up both like her big sister seems to be doing.

Our most recent news is that we now have a walker. She is so laid back, I thought she would take a good bit longer than Dakota, who walked at 9 months. But here we are at 10 months, and it's all systems go! The past few days she has been chasing her sister round until her heart's content. There's no stopping her now!

Update on Dakota!

My not so little Dakota is now 29 months old. Is it even ok to refer to 29 monthers in months anymore?

It is crazy how much she has grown up. She a totally Mommy's girl and I don't know where I would be without her! She makes me laugh every day, she is such a funny little girl, loves making me smile and her laugh is just infectious.

She is still such a big girl for her age! She is 38.5inches tall, she is the same height as some 5 year olds we know! She is my big tall girl, she is now 31lbs as well, still above average, but quite slim for height. She is definitely taking after me with her build, she is just my little mini-me and I love it being that way!

Miss Dakota is still as wild as ever. There is no calming this kid down. Anything at all which is in the slightest bit dangerous, she loves it. She has NO fear at all, I am petrified for her, but nothing seems to phase her. It just means I have to keep an extra close eye on her at all times!

She has also gotten so smart - I can't believe it! She can say her alphabet, numbers & most main words in English AND Polish. She never gets mixed up between either language and her vocabulary is right on track for where it should be for her age - except she's doing it in 2 languages! She is my smart little bilingual! Here she is saying her ABCs and then talking to me in Polish afterward!

I'm going to spend today just updating on me, and my circumstances right now!

I have so much to tell you all about the girls and things, but I'll save that for another day.

Things are tough over here right now, I will admit that. We have definitely seen better days. I hoped by this time, start of 2010, we would have our own place and be making ways forward in our financial situation. Instead, we've taken a big step back. Daniel lost his job in September and is yet to find a new one.

He has became very depressed, I mean very. He refuses to leave the house and I don't really believe he is even searching for a job anymore. He has turned completely against me and it hurts me so badly. He is blaming me for our situation, telling me it is my fault and he even told me I have ruined his life. I'm trying to convince myself this isn't really him talking, this is not the man I know & love, but it's difficult. He keeps pushing me away and I am in a country where I do not speak the language and don't have my own family.

I have my own difficulties to deal with & I've been finding it very difficult to address them because I am worrying so much about him and the state of our marriage. He says he "doesn't need" to go to conselling, and who am I to force him? There is nothing I can do until he wants to help himself.

So, that's the back story right now. I will be back tomorrow hopefully on a happier note with an update on the little princesses!- Anna

Mia is now 2 months old. I wonder where those 2 months have gone, it truly does feel like yesterday I was fed up being pregnant and willing her out! But she is already growing so much, no longer like that little newborn I brought home! Here is her 2 month shot!

And for comparisons, here is Dakotas. I am starting to wonder why I always put her in hats for those photos, but she was pretty much bald. So Mia definitely beats her in the hair stakes!

It's been strange for me the past few weeks. I have been feeling incredibly down about a couple of things - I honestly have no idea if it has to do with not being blog active, but it's a reasonable guess.

This place really is like my outlet, I love looking back at old posts and I have so many things I could post about right now, I just can't motivated. So I am honestly going to try harder :)

One day last week Dakota saw me looking down and came over and gave me a great big hug- I think it is amazing a child so small can understand and grasp emotions so well. I mean, I wasn't crying or anything, she just sensed it and came over to try and make me feel better. I know everything thinks their child is the greatest and smartest in the world, but I honestly do believe I have such a little bright spark in my life!

She is so affectionate with Amelia as well. She wants to help and do everything with her she can. I am just getting a post together of pictures of them together and the way Dakota treats her. She hasn't been jealous barely at all, she has her own baby and she burps it, changes its dipe & takes it out walks the exact same way as I do with Mia!

She is still my little wild child, I don't think I will ever calm that. But her maturity, just, shocks me. It's sad, yet so amazing to see her growing up and understanding much more every day!

Dakota is now in her own big girl bed and Amelia is in the crib! So far, it's going great. Kota is taking it all in her stride and actually doing really well with having her own room, I even set up her own baby's "crib", so her room could be the same as ours! She is doing great with it. Mia was getting a bit big for the basket and she transferred to the crib really well, so well she slept for the longest stint yet (5 hours) last night! Yay!

I think they look pretty alike. You can't really see there because Dakota had a hat on, but Mia has a lot more hair than she ever did at that age. Mia looks slightly longer and thinner than Dakota too, but I'm not sure how true that is because in my records Dakota was actually bigger than Mia is. I love doing comparison pics though, it's amazing to see the differences and similarities.

We had a wonderful day - it made me really happy to be in Poland. I didn't think I could ever say that but I did, it has only taken me 10 months to get used to it all but I really do love this country now. Of course it was also great to be surrounded by my family and all my new friends I have made here too. Life really isn't so bad sometimes!

I know I haven't been keeping up so great and for that I really apologize. I miss blogging, I really do!

I have such a backlog of pics I just want to share with the blogging world I can't see to get moved on to. Being a Mommy of 2 is tough! But I will be back & I will get used to this. I'm just enjoying the last week with my parents here before they have to return home & then hopefully I will be back with all the wonderful stories of their time here and the new things the girls are doing! I just haven't had time for the net full stop recently.

Amelia still isn't sleeping great and I'm starting to get pretty tired with it. I've been feeling really lethargic and my Doctor has advised me to try and start gaining weight. I know, one month pp and already being told I need to put some on again. It's just hard when it seems all my battles are with gaining weight. However, I do know breastfeeding is not doing me any good and if I want to keep on breastfeeding I need to try.

So I've started on a new diet with more protein and carbs and things - I also hope I can get back into jogging soon because it helped me an awful lot before with building muscle and things. So wish me luck! I don't mean to be sickening but I often feel like my problems trying to gain any sort of weight must be the same as trying to lose it. I know that feeling of sheer desolation when nothing seems to work.

But I look back at pictures of me now before I got pregnant with Amelia and realize I was too light - the whole move and the stress took it out of me completely. I don't want to get that way again.

Amelia's Baptism

Yesterday, Amelia got baptized. It was a wonderful day! My sister Lauren was and is still here for the longer weekend, it's great to have her here! I haven't seen my sister (and my best friend for that matter) in 2 years! She has never "met" either of my girls! So it's been a big meeting.

Everything went really well, Mia slept through the majority of the service & my family just sat there not a clue what was going on! But it was still nice to have them there. Yesterday was also Polish Mother's Day. So we got a meal & then went out to explore the city a bit more! I think / hope my Mom really enjoyed herself, she seemed to! I will be sure to be back with pictures later. My baby is a month old already & I can't believe it! It is just going so quickly. I want to skip back and have the whole first month over again, but I am excited for everything that lies ahead. I am so blessed.

Life is so busy these days, just trying to get everything into a schedule. My Mom and Step Dad are coming tomorrow though and I honestly cannot wait to see them, I haven't seen them since Dakota was born so wow they are going to get a change when they see her and new little Amelia! :) They are staying for 3 weeks so I'm not sure I will be about for the next 3 weeks, but I will try to get on to at least post updated pics now and again!

Amelia's Birth Story

" I had been having contractions all day Wednesday (04/22) but wasn’t sure if they meant anything. I had had irregular contractions all through my pregnancy so wasn’t getting my hopes up but was secretly hopeful. At around 10pm I was on the computer (as usual!) when I felt I needed to pee. Nothing out of the ordinary, so I waddled my way to the bathroom. Just as I got into the bathroom, my waters broke. Nothing like the massive explosion you often imagine, but there was still no mistaking it. I got everything cleared up and informed Daniel. He instructed me to sit and “DON’T MOVE” while we timed the contractions. They started coming every 4 minutes and we decided we better to head to the birthing center, which was about an hour across town.

We arrived at the center around 11pm and I got changed and hooked up. The contractions were short and stabbing at this point, nothing I couldn’t deal with. We sat and waited for an hour, playing about on the laptop and chatting, as well as informing close family members things were happening. At around midnight I was checked and was told I was only 3cm dilated and hadn’t progressed at all since I arrived. They offered to try and move things along a bit, but I declined because it had only been an hour and I was ok with everything.

After waiting for another while, things finally started to progress. Without really noticing, the contractions were starting to get harder and I was beginning to have to stop what I was doing and really concentrate on contractions as they came. I was still able to deal with them but increasingly they were becoming more difficult. I was incredibly tired as everything was happening in the dead of night, I tried to rest for a few minutes but soon realized I wasn’t going to get any rest. I got out of the bed and walked about for a bit and the contractions got stronger again. I was feeling a lot of pressure already and felt Amelia must be quite close to coming out. The pressure even at this point was a lot greater than I can remember with Dakota.

Things continued like this until around 4am. They decided to check me again and told me I was 7cm dilated. I was pretty upset at this because I felt I was ready to push and was getting incredibly uncomfortable. I was seriously considering the epidural, but just told myself to take it 5 contractions at a time and review the situation after the next 5. I took some gas & air (entonox) to calm me down a bit. I just kept changing positions to try and get comfortable. Daniel played some silly songs on the computer: for example “Go Baby Go”. This cheered me and took my mind off the contractions for a while. I tried stretching out but the contractions were becoming increasingly unbearable and I really started doubting myself and my capabilities.

After asking to be checked again, the midwife said I was progressing really well and it wouldn’t be much longer. After finally get myself into a half comfortable position I started feeling like I needed to push. I just went along with the contractions for a while and after realizing that YES I was actually needing to push a little. I informed the midwife. She checked and said I wasn’t fully 10cm dilated yet but just to go along with what my body was feeling. I pushed a little like this until the Doctor arrived. It was nice to have something to take my mind off it.

The Doctor arrived at 5.20am and I decided I wanted to deliver on my front. I am sure I was not a sight to be missed, but that was the way I felt most comfortable, down on my front with my back end in the air. The Doctor was happy enough to go along with this for a while and I started pushing in this position. I was so tired but really gave the pushing everything I had to get this baby out. After 30 mins intense pushing, the Doctor suggested I turn round on my front. I was not keen to do this and actually getting turned was the hardest, but after a lot of moaning and groaning, they set up some stirrups and got me delivering the “normal” way on my back. The pressure was really intense and I could feel her right there but she didn’t seem to be shifting. At around 6 the Doctor let me know we would try pushing for 15 more minutes and then he would decide what to do because he could see I was trying really hard and getting stressed that not much was happening. Well, at around 6.10am something finally happened. After 2 massive pushes with lots of screaming and groaning and then panting, her head finally crowned. I had completely forgotten how exhilaratingly painful the experience was but it was amazing at the same time. One more massive push and she was out.

Amelia was born at 6.15am exactly weighing 7lb 10z and 19.75ins long. I tore in the exact same place I did with Dakota and required 4 stitches but after all that I was up walking around again quickly. Achieving another drug free birth was great and I really appreciated getting to feel everything that was happening and really being in control of my body. Amelia nursed like a champ from word go. We are just recovering now but I feel so blessed to have been given another beautiful baby girl. I could just stare at her all day long; she is truly the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. "

Amelia Izabela K was born this morning (04/23) at 6.15am Polish time! She weighed 7lb 10oz and was 19 3/4 ins long. She is just perfect, she came out screaming her head off and is BF'ing like a champ. I can't believe I have another baby girl! Dakota hasn't met her sister yet but is hopefully coming to see her tonight soon sometime before bed! Here is the premiered first photo of my new little princes!

- Even sitting at the laptop for any amount of time seems like too much to do!

I can barely sit here for more than 5 minutes before I am crippled and need to change positions or something. Amelia is lying really strange and it hurts! I have an appt with the Doctor tomorrow. They are seriously like gold dust or something, he never wants to see me! They just totally let you go on your own here and I'm thinking to myself all the things that could be wrong that he is not checking for and worrying myself!

This morning we got up super early to go have a game of tennis. Well, I say have a game. Daniel and Helena (my SIL) played, while Dakota tried to get in the way as many times as possible and I tried to rescue her while escaping any tennis balls that may be coming my way at high speeds. It was still fun though, nice to get out in the morning air! Kota looks so small in comparison to the bat. Makes a change from the monster size she usually looks. I want to show it to everyone to be like LOOK - my kid is still only 18 months! Haha. We found another awesome job for her as well......... ball girl.

Hi Maddie, my name is Dakota. I'm only a month older than you, though you probably couldn't tell as I am a giant monster and you were simply a little peanut. We never got the chance to play or anything but I saw pictures of you online and I know we would have had a ton of fun. You lived in California and I live in Poland. Poland is so boring, but I can make it fun sometimes. I wore this purple dress today to remember you. Your life was short but was filled of so many fantastic memories and my whole family is so thankful to God that you got that beautiful year to spend at home with your family having fun. Someday we will meet in heaven and then we may get the chance to play together.

Easter Belly!

We didn't do a lot this Easter. It was a bit difficult to get out. I went to "family" mass early in the morning and then Daniel came with me to my mass - so we got to 2. It's just another thing we have to put up with to keep both of us happy! It was wonderful to celebrate our Lord rising from the dead though. Here in Poland, people are so dedicated and devout and really appreciate all God has done for them. I seriously believe living here has been a "gift" to help me see this, and I really am starting to be. I am in no way I perfect person and man, I mess up ever day, but I am getting there.

When we came home - I took some more belly pics. Kinda hoping these will be some of my last as God blessed me with some contractions on Sunday ;-). I didn't have any before labor with Dakota so I am kinda hoping this means things are really getting going - though this pregnancy has been SO different, I can't really go by anything!

Daniel and I planned to take Dakota to the park on Friday - but he suggested we go to the lake instead and we had a lovely day. Dakota really enjoyed the feeding the ducks and giving them her bread. My girl is too kind, the last day we were there, she wanted to give the duckies her "baby". Anyway, it is great having Daniel at home some days of the week now. I know he looks a bit weird with his phone link in his ear, but if it means he gets to come out with us during the day - I am totally up for it!

Daniel kicked her little butt and she giggled. This is her new favorite position to lie watching the TV. I am scared she will hurt her eyes this way. Of course Daniel sees nothing wrong with it and thinks it is funny.

I told her to sit back on the chair with us and got told "NO". I was like "Eh, ok". That kid rules our house, probably a little sad but very true!

If she needs glasses by the time she gets to 5 - she can blame her Daddy! As for her more than ladylike position, well, we will see how that changes in a few years!

It's a beautiful song - listen to it. It makes me kinda sad quite soon I won't have my big belly anymore. I won't get to feel my beautiful baby kicking me from in there.

Complaining during pregnancy is just common ground. We complain the whole pregnancy, then as soon as its over - we want to go back. I am just trying to enjoy the last few weeks of this.

We are just about to take another trip to the park! I love park trips these days, the weather is pretty good right now. It is still cold, but I can deal with it - and Dakota doesn't seem to feel the cold at all! A bit of walking may spur on something too. I know I say I can deal with the 3 weeks left, but still, a baby now would be nice!

I woke up this morning to some very sad news.

I can't explain to anyone the feelings going through my head right now. I mean, I never met Maddie, I never met her parents Heather & Mike. But I felt like I knew so much about her. I read her blog and although she was a good few months development wise behind Dakota, I could relate. She was just a beautiful little miracle, a mischievous toddler with everything in front of her.

I looked back on posts of when she was such a tiny little baby in the NICU and saw how much she had changed. How much she had come on - she was truly a little fighter and a miracle. No matter what got her down, she never let it bother her. She was back smiling as normal the next day. She was tiny, but she had complete control over the kids bigger than her. She was tiny but mighty!

I followed her photos on flickr and secretely wished I could be a Mom with as great a talent of taking beautiful pictures as Heather, and thought we only talked a handful of times via blogs, I felt almost like an acquaintance. It is very funny how the land of the internet works. This has all made me realize how much I appreciate every one of my internet friends, you are all fantastic and I couldn't get through the day without you! (HUGS)

But back onto topic - this sweet little girl passed yesterday and I know I will never forget it. I will never forget her infectious smile or the many stories of the latest things she had been getting up to! Rest in peace Maddie, you are truly a little angel! <3

I had the exact same ritual with Dakota, so I thought I must do it this time round. It is awesome to compare bellies, I think I am slightly bigger this time around, not so much wider, but definitely further out! Kota gave me a slightly rounder bump, Mia is just making me UNCOMFORTABLE!

Amelia has been being a little April Fool the whole pregnancy, now the correct month has arrived, and she is quiet as anything. I am thinking she is going to be in here until May, no signs yet. I don't want her out for a few more weeks yet, but with so many ladies on the boards I post on going early, it is making me very jealous! I have to wait right until the end of the month!

35 weeks and I am starting to get pretty fed up having a baby in here! Not even the fact it is so uncomfortable, although it is. It is more the mental side of things. I can't deal with running around after a toddler and being so tired and feeling so mentally down all the time. I just hope it gets better when Mia arrives! Daniel got a promotion, I am so proud of him!! :D Well, I'm not sure if promotion is the right word since it is still the same pay, but it means he gets to work from home 2 days a week, so he can be around with me and the girls while they are small. It's awesome, he'll only be away 3 days and the other 2 he is at home, he has to do some stuff but not as much as if he was away, he gets to be with us and equal pay! Pretty good if you ask me! There were 3 guys in for it and he got it! :) Just wanted to post how proud I am of my man!

We got our first trip to the park this week. The weather improved and Dakota was getting cranky in the house, so I got her all wrapped up and we headed out! It was lovely, so nice to be outdoors again and see her enjoying everything. She is now able to try to use basically EVERYTHING in the park, the last time we were there she was almost like a baby, who could only use the swings. It is the craziest thing, I can't believe she has grown up so much! Now we are just looking forward to the summer months coming up, I miss summer a lot!

What a little devil, she is all for standing on anything these days to get a better view. It won't be long though until she can see out the windows without having to climb on anything! We were out and about all day yesterday. Dakota has been especially monster-ish this week so we decided to get out and about. We've been enjoy more dates with her boyfriend Jakub. I feel a bit like an intruder in their house, we have been there that much recently, but Dakota doesn't mind, she gets to see her bf! We also had a day with Dakota's new friend Eka, they got on pretty well, but it doesn't compare to Kota and her boyfriend! Lara (Jake's Mom), has got the majority of the pics, but I will try and post them later! We got some FUNNY ones! Here is missy on her way there :-)

We are all tired out now and enjoying a day in! Amelia has been behaving well and causing Mommy no contractions! Yay =)

The snow here doesn't seem to be lifting at all. We haven't had a ton of snow, as you can see, but it's constant. I'm nearly done with it. Haven't been around much the last few days, sorry for it all. Not much to write about or update, bedrest life really is boring. I have another appt on Monday, I really hope I get some more good news and possibly get let off it. I have been behaving myself really well, doing all I can do really. On a positive note, I am now 30 weeks. Only 10 weeks left!

I have been knitting a bit, or attempting. I am still on the scarves with holes stage, not sure if I will ever progress past this stage but it is pretty fun. With the weather we have still been having here, the scaves still may come in useful!

It's nearly midnight and if I wasn't on bedrest, I really could be doing *better* things right now, but blogging it is! We had a nice day. Obviously we didn't go out or anything and we don't usually make a big deal out of V Day anyway. The way we have always discussed it is that we should just surprise each other with cute little things every day if we can!

But we made a little effort today. We did crafts with Dakota in the morning and it was a lot of fun. I did the lipstick on the belly trick again and we took a few photos. We all had a ton of fun!

Then in the evening Daniel cooked me dinner. The ILs went out for their dinner so we just had the house for us (and Dakota!) but it was nice just to be able to relax and appreciate the little things! All in all a lovely day, not sure if next year we will be able to get any peace at all with 2 kids!

My good friend Betsy (http://betsys4.blogspot.com/) gave me another wonderful award! :) I am really loving seeing all the cute ones floating around, and loving even more receiving them!

Here is a little information about the award: We've all been there. As hard as we try, sometimes we don't catch every little sign that some thing's wrong. We aren't able to prevent every bump or bruise. We love our children with all our hearts, but we are only human. Super-mom has her kryptonite. We would not be parents if there were times we didn't regret something, if we feared we had somehow irreversibly damaged them by some slight on our part. Yet our children seem to be OK. They love us unconditionally and we love them. WE LOVE THEM....that is what matters. So don't be so hard on yourselves. As parents we do all that we can and leave the rest to God. Don't beat yourself up for that one little thing.Here are the rules:

1) Admit that ONE thing you feel awful about involving being a mom. Get it off your shoulders. Once you've written it down, you are NO LONGER allowed to feel bad. It's over with, it's in the past. Remember, you're a good mom!

2)To remind yourself that you ARE a good mom, list SEVEN things you love about your kids, you love doing with your kids, or that your kids love about you. These are the things to remind yourself of EVERY DAY that you rock!

OK, here goes!

One thing I feel awful about right now is not being able to spend enough time with Dakota. I know she wants me to run about ahd chase after her and I just can't do it. There are only so many puzzles or playing in one place my 16 month old can take!

7 things I love about my kids:

1. Dakota is such a fun, energetic toddler. She provides so many laughs daily and just seeing her laugh completes my day!

2. I love watching how great Dakota is with her "baba" (her doll). It just reminds me how cute she is going to be with Amelia when she arrives!

3. I love how involved Dakota is with my belly. She puts her hand on it all the time trying to feel Mia kicking, not sure if she does or not, but she thinks it's really funny!

4. I love how my kids are really the only thing that get me through being here. When I don't want to or can't communicate with other people, like at DH's work parties, I can use the excuse of chasing around after Dakota. She doesn't care that I can't speak Polish! :)

5. The way she communicates with people and charms them everywhere she goes! She always takes after her Mommy ;)

6. The fact that no matter what I do, she doesn't care. She just cares that I'm her Mommy and that is the best feeling in the world.

7. I can't think of a 7th thing?? I love EVERYTHING about my little princess!!

Other great Moms! - I have a lot of Moms on my blog, some I don't talk to so much but I still appreciate they are wonderful Moms. So for this I am giving it to ALL the Moms out there, you are all wonderful! So if you read this and you're a Momma, you're TAGGED! Go do it! <3

Some belly pics as I haven't posted any in a while and I definitely think I've popped a lot. These were taken last Thursday, so a little outdated now, but you get the idea!

I have been feeling a lot better. I had an appointment with my Doctor on Monday and he told me the blood pressure meds are working and it is now stabilised. I was so happy to hear that! I am still on bed rest as obviously there are still risks, but he says hopefully that if my blood pressure stays at a stable level, I won't have to be on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy! Hallelujah! I really take my hat off to ladies who manage bed rest for the whole pregnancy, I have been finding out just how intensely difficult it is!

Cold Weather

OK, the weather is getting really cold these days. We have been far below freezing each day this week, not really normal for Poland. I'm all wrapped up in bed and I'm still pretty cold! It seems everywhere in the world is having a cold chill right now. I just wish I could go out and play in the snow with Dakota, she loves it. I just get to deal with the runny nose and the tantrums from being tired when she comes in from the snow! Fun fun.

Dentist!

Today I had to go to the dentist for the first time. It was a, new, experience. I had been holding out but I really needed to see one soon because I don't think I have been in a LONG time. So I got one organized through the insurance who could "speak English." We went there, and he could speak a few words, very limited. I was just happy I had SIL with me, she managed to translate a bit and talked to him for me. Luckily nothing had to be done, I just didn't feel confident letting him loose in my mouth with no idea what he was doing! However, I am glad to report I am still alive! Nice to get out of the house as well, even if I was driven straight and the door and only walked about 10 steps to the chair and back before returning home!

Can't believe it is February already! The months are flying in these days. February is such a "short" month too, only 28 days! Going to try and make it as productive as possible even though I might be on bedrest. Not letting myself think about that! This is what she was like for basically the whole time they were there. I think she just didn't want to see me or something! I'm sure the other patients were wondering what was going on. I managed to get her calmed down a bit towards the end though, thankfully. Even if she was trying to escape!

Hospital fun - bedrest hell.

So, sorry for not being here so much the past few days. I got taken into hospital (AGAIN) on Thursday night for high blood pressure. Only got home this morning. They have managed to regulate it a little but it is still very high, so full time bedrest for me. Until at least it comes down. Doctor says he will review it next week and if it is back to a suitable level he will take the bedrest off a little, but it is important that I keep it down because it could have been causing the placenta to pull away! Eeek. I hate to think if he hadn't managed to catch it!

As Dakota is a big girl for her age and I'm pregnant again and everything, sometimes I think we all forget she is still a baby. At least in my eyes anyway. 14 months is still a baby! People seem to nearly stop me in the street now thinking she is older than she is, I even get confused sometimes. She is just too smart for her own good! There's one baby thing in her that is definitely not leaving though, and that is her love of the bottle! She still ALWAYS needs a bottle before bed, I'm not in any rush for her to outgrow it though, "bobo" is good! :)
